Derek Zellner - Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator   Coach “Z” attended Northern Arizona University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Coach “Z” has been teaching for 20 years and has taught various grade levels throughout his career. Coach Zellner gives high praise to the following coaches for being such a positive influence on him and his career:  ** Mike Clark – Jim Beall – John Rodriquez – Mike Millanes – Alex Jacobson – and Roy Lopez **

Fred Robinson  -  Defensive Coordinator   Coach Fred Robinson is coming to us from Chicago Illinois.Coach Robinson attended Eastern Illinois University where he was a walk on football player and track athlete. Coach Robinson played Minor League Football in St. Louis Missouri for 12 years and played one year of indoor professional football with the River City Renegades in 2001. Coach Robinson was voted into the minor league football (AFA) Hall of Fame in 2009. He also was a track coach for four years at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois.

Fred Robinson - Defensive Coordinator

Coach Fred Robinson is coming to us from Chicago Illinois.Coach Robinson attended Eastern Illinois University where he was a walk on football player and track athlete. Coach Robinson played Minor League Football in St. Louis Missouri for 12 years and played one year of indoor professional football with the River City Renegades in 2001. Coach Robinson was voted into the minor league football (AFA) Hall of Fame in 2009. He also was a track coach for four years at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois.

Aaron Maleala  -  Defensive Backs   Coach Malaela is an Arizona native and graduated from Thatcher High School, where he was named First Team All-Conference as a DB, WR, and RS, he was also named First Team All -County as a WR, DB, and RS and First Team All-State as a DB after recording 9 interceptions. Coach Malaela played his college football at Eastern Arizona College as a DB and RS in the fall of 1998. Coach Malaela graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Public Administration with an Emphasis in Leadership. Coach Malaela then served a mission for the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints in Suva, Fiji.

Freshman/Sophmore Coaches

 
Blake Kemp  -  Head Frosh/Soph Coach   This is Coach Kemp's first year as Gilbert High School's Head Frosh/Soph Coach. Coach Kemp was the starting quarterback in 2015 for East Carolina University. Coach Kemp played at Hamilton High School and helped the Huskies to state championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Blake Kemp - Head Frosh/Soph Coach

This is Coach Kemp's first year as Gilbert High School's Head Frosh/Soph Coach. Coach Kemp was the starting quarterback in 2015 for East Carolina University. Coach Kemp played at Hamilton High School and helped the Huskies to state championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
